POSITION SUMMARY

The Junior Technical Intelligence Analyst is a junior position reporting to the EMEA Intelligence Officer. The Junior Technical Intelligence Analyst will be integrated into the EMEA team for FS-ISAC's Global Intelligence Office (GIO), which spans London, UK and Den Haag, NL in Europe. The FS-ISAC’s GIO is responsible for the formal threat-sharing and analytical reporting for its members. The Junior Technical Intelligence Analyst supports the production of cyber threat intelligence to enhance member awareness of the tools, tactics, and threat actors targeting the financial sector. This role contributes to the analysis of cyber threats affecting operational resilience and provides insight to help inform risk management decisions.

Working as part of a global, fast-paced team, the analyst will also assist in the creation of intelligence products for FS-ISAC members in the EMEA region. Responsibilities include monitoring cyber threat activity, supporting intelligence reporting, and contributing to the development of situational awareness for member organizations.

The role requires a foundational understanding of cyber threats and risks, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams and regions. Fluency in English is required. Some travel may be necessary for team meetings or member engagement activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Communicate effectively in English, both in written products and verbal briefings.

• Apply foundational analytical techniques and structured writing to produce clear, audience-appropriate intelligence reporting.

• Collaborate with peers and senior analysts on intelligence production and contribute to joint assessments.

• Support the development of intelligence products by contributing research, analysis, and editorial input to multi-author reports.

• Assist in the coordination and facilitation of Communities of Interest and Working Groups to support knowledge sharing and member engagement.

• Support the identification of emerging cyber threats by analyzing technical and contextual data under the guidance of senior analysts. Assist in delivering timely, actionable intelligence to internal and external stakeholders in line with FS-ISAC classification and handling protocols.

• Contribute to the development of intelligence products by conducting open-source research and supporting multiple-source analysis of current and emerging threats, aligned with the organization’s intelligence strategy.

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of content for local and regional threat webinars or member calls, supporting senior analysts in member engagement activities.

POSITIONS QUALIFICATIONS

• Foundational Intelligence Analysis Skills – Demonstrates an emerging understanding of intelligence concepts and structure analytical techniques. Shows a growing awareness of geopolitical and economic factors that influence the cyber threat landscape. May have internship or entry-level experience in a related field.

• Developing Analytical Writing Proficiency – Able to contribute to well-structured intelligence products with guidance. Shows an understanding of basic intelligence writing principles and is learning to adapt content for different audiences.

• Effective Communication – Communicates clearly and professionally with team members. Comfortable asking questions, sharing findings, and contributing to discussions across technical and non-technical audiences.

• Time and Task Management – Manages assigned tasks reliably with support. Demonstrates the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• University or graduate degree desired in a related field of study.

• Foundational knowledge of key technical intelligence topics, with a willingness to learn and grow across a broad range of threat areas.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position reports FSISAC London, UK or Den Haag, NL office and will work a hybrid office schedule.
