POSITION SUMMARY

The FS-ISAC provides a business resilience portfolio to members in three regions: Americas, APAC and EMEA. Each region maintains a Business Resilience Committee, establishes member working groups as appropriate, and responds to potential or real incidents affecting member business resilience. This position develops and manages the member exercise program and leads FS-ISAC participation in financial sector exercises. Together, these activities ensure that resilience issues are addressed in meetings, incidents are managed according to applicable playbooks, and responses are in line with relevant business resilience practices. This position also manages the CERES Forum, a program that serves the public sector members by promoting a variety of business resilience products and services. The Director serves as the Deputy Director for the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC), supporting FSSCC leadership and coordinating resilience activities for the FSSCC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Oversee the business resilience program in Americas, APAC and EMEA regions.
  • Supervises five staff responsible for business resilience activities – exercises, operational playbooks and resilience white papers. Current staffing is three positions in US, one position in APAC and one position in EMEA.
  • Ensure the regional business resilience regions collaborate effectively and efficiently.
  • Lead the Americas Business Resilience Committee, relying on staff support from those within the broader portfolio.
  • Coordinate with and support the leaders of the CERES Forum, providing business resilience resources as appropriate.
  • Manage relationships with the public sector in the US, APAC and EMEA as appropriate on business resilience and CERES Forum matters.
  • Identify ways to promote FSSCC through FS-ISAC business resilience activities and vice-versa.
  • Report to the FSSCC Executive Director on matters involving FSSCC staff support.
  • Coordinate with FBIIC on policy matters, playbooks and exercise scenarios and goals.
  • Manage relationships with the US public sector on FSSCC matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned for FS-ISAC or FSSCC.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Citizenship – Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Public Sector Experience – Substantial time is spent collaborating with the public sector, candidate must have public sector experience.
  • Security Clearance – Must hold or be qualified to hold a top-secret clearance and be eligible for SCI. If the requisite clearance is not currently held, the candidate must obtain it immediately upon hire.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Able to interact with individuals with variety of backgrounds and experience.
  • Oral Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification. Experienced and comfortable with public speaking.
  • Written Communication – Writes clearly and persuasively in all situations; ensures writing matches the objectives and audience needs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position reports into Reston, Virginia headquarters on a hybrid schedule, required to be in office two days a week for “team days” and other locations in the DC area or other locations as needed for meetings.
